Grapplers Quest Southeast and Copa Atlantica Quick Results
$5000 in prizes were up for grabs at King William, Virginia!
At the first day of competition the Grappler's Quest SouthEast saw some tremendous action on the mat.
In the absolute division Jeff Monson continued his winning ways defeating Rick Macauley in the finals by a score of 2-0. This marks the third time these two have battled this year! Jeff Monson defeated Rolles Gracie en route to the victory as well. Rick Macauley defeated Chris Moriarty, who managed to submit Jamal Patterson!
Other action saw Travis Tooke defeat Andrew Smith in the finals of his no gi advanced division, (179 and under) Kurt Pelligrino wins the 169 and under division and Noah Booth and Sal Sanguinetti split the under 159 division.
Women's ADCC Absolute champion Juliana Borges continued her winning ways in winning the women's division.
In the next day in Copa Atlnatica BJJ action. Rolles Gracies won the over 175 pound division defeating Beto Riberio in the finals. Rolles also gets his revenge defeating Jeff Monson who had thrown on a gi!
In under 175 pound black belt division Daniel Valverde defeats Mark Bocek in the finals. Daniel defeated Travis Tooke and Nakapon Phungeporn to get to the finals. On the other side of the bracket Jonathon Wertz defeated Dave Jacobs by advantages, who was the armlocked by Bocek. Nakapan then defeated Jonathon Wertz on points.
Brown belt absolute had Kurt Pelligrino defeat Rick Macauley by choke in the finals. In divisional action mike Fowler wins his division
