04.24.09 Otis Ruiz vs. Christian Palencia lightweight title fight: tonight at TUFF-N-UFF Author: TUFF-N-UFF
TUFF-N-UFF delivers a KO to Audiences with amateur mixed martial arts competition at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. In building a loyal, local fan base, in addition to the tourist attendance, TUFF-N-UFF has outgrown the ballrooms and will be holding shows in the Orleans Arena on May 30th and July 10th, 2009.

Descending on the Sin City Mixed Martial arts scene, TUFF-N-UFF has had several recent successful MMA shows and soon will feature the crowning of the first Welterweight and Lightweight champions! TUFF-N-UFF is building a fan and fighter base due, in part, to their philanthropic policy of giving back to the community.

Knowing that kids with the fighting disposition can utilize those skills for good – such as winning titles – or bad – such as street fighting, TUFF-N-UFF owners donate time, resources, training and money to disadvantaged youth of Las Vegas. Owners & brothers, Barry and Jeff Meyer use the sport as a way to attract ‘at risk’ youth, channel their energy into something positive, and offer training scholarships while encouraging education.

Co-Owner, Jeff Meyer, says, “In helping to keep kids off the streets we feel we are helping families and contributing to a reduced crime rate in our community. As a teenager, I was involved in ring sports which helped me to do something positive, stay off drugs and complete my education. All kids should have this same opportunity so TUFF-N-UFF is doing what it can by way of bussing at risk youths from “the shade tree” (www.theshadetree.org) to our shows. Co-Owner and President, Barry Meyer states, “We’re going to be shooting commercials saying “If you’re really tuff, then don’t fight on the streets or waste your life with drugs and gangs and get into a mixed martial arts gym. Then go to www.tuffnuff.net and sign up to fight”.

This Exciting, You Can’t Miss This, TUFF-N-UFF Championship fight will be held Friday, April 24th at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. Tickets are available now through the Casino box office by calling 702-365-7075.

Along with the upcoming lightweight title fight between Otis Ruiz and Christian Palencia, Tuff-N-Uff recently celebrated an MMA milestone. April 17th marked the one year, one month anniversary of amateur Mixed Martial Arts being legalized in the state of Nevada. The forthcoming show should be an addition to an already growing legacy of success and is expected to be the beginning of continuous growth of sustained excellence in the amateur Las Vegas MMA scene. Coming up in future events will be an open invitational; to be held in the Orleans Arena; and an all female show with some of the top up and coming female amateur Mixed Martial Artists in the sport.

Tuff-N-Uff is the unquestioned leader of amateur Mixed Martial Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada. Frequent events are at the Orleans Hotel and Casino and offer family friendly events at economically reasonable rates to allow for more attendance for more fans!
