192 Amateur Athletes participated in the 2009 California State Championships on April 5th at Santa Ana College. Some of the top Amateur Fighters made their way to Orange County from all parts of California, Arizona and Nevada to compete in this 7th annual State Championship tournament.

Out of the the 30 plus teams, top Men's division honors were earned by Camp Pendleton, Fight Club 29, White Dragon, FightworX, Main Event Sports Club while Ultimate Fitness, Drysdale BJJ, .Kreitzmans MMA and Riverside Submission took team awards for the Youth divisions.

Next two events are the US Armed Forces Pankration Championships on May 16th at Camp Pendleton California and the USA World Team Trials in Milwaulkee Wisconsin.
