Coming to you from the World Famous HP Pavilion we're live here at Strikeforce where Frank Shamrock takes on Nick Diaz in the main event.

Assuming my internet connection is working we'll be giving you a live PBP.

James Terry vs Zac Bucia

James Terry wins by unanimous decision 30-27 on all score cards.

Raul Castillo vs Brandon Michaels

Raul is clearly the crowd favorite here being a local from nearby Half Moon Bay (the fact his opponent is announced from LA doesn't help matters for him (it's a Norcal thing).

Round 1

Raul sporting some nice OTM shorts. Raul gets the takedown and lands in half guard. Raul looks to pass but Brandon holds on well, Raul mounts, pounds and Brandon is forced to turn over, Raul sinks in the RNC for the win. Interesting trivia note, Nick Diaz and Raul Castillo have competed on the BJJ circuit against each other, the last match being a victory by points Raul.

Eric Lawson vs Waylon Kennell

Eric Lawson is another local fighter, and they brought in another fighter from Los Angeles in Waylon Kennell to fight him. Wonder who the crowd is going to be for in this one :) On paper this is a decent match up, Lawson sporting an 8-1 record and Kennell is 4-1.

Round 1

Lawson backs Kennell up with punches, landing a few before Kennell takes the clinch. Kennell pushes Lawson into the fence as the crowd rallies behind Lawson. Kenell pushes for a takedown but Lawson on top. Back to the feet, clinch, a big Lawso uppercut drops Kennell. Kennell recovers to guard, seems okay. Back to the feet Kennell presses forward, clinch against the cage. Kenell charges forward, looks like he is rocking Lawson , but Lawson manages to come on top from the ground. Kennell transitions from triangle to armbar, Lawson defends but Kennell comes on top and mounts. Another armbar from Kennell, but Lawson escapes and takes mount. Lawson pounds away and referee Big John MCartchy calls the bout with five seconds left!

Luke Rockhold vs Buck Meredith

Fighters stalk each other until Luke shoots in for the takedown. Buck defends but Luke drags him down, landing in a side control. Buck turtles up and Luke takes the oppotunity to try to sink a choke. No hooks however, so he gives up the choke to adjust position. Battle now as Luke swarms Buck but can't sink the choke.

Brett Rogers vs Abango Humphrey

Bett "the Grim" Rogers actually came by and trained at me school this week. Very nice guy, damn is he big. I believe he actually has to cut a bit to get to 265! Fortunately I had a few students his size. If Brett wins by Darce choke, I'm taking credit....

Round 1

Fighter touch gloves and we are on. Abongo tries some roundhouse kicks, nothing landing solidly. Some more feeling out and Abongo shoots for a takedown. Brett stays on his feet and lands a few shots in the defendse. Back to the feet. Rogers slips and now he is trying to initiate the takedown. Clinch, big knee from Brett separate them. Brett is warned b Herb Dean twice for pulling hair? Hard when your opponent has dreadlocks I would think....3rd time and Herb stops the match to deduct a point from Rogers. Round ends.B

Round 2

Clinch right away with Rogers pushing Humphrey to the fence. Big knees from Rogers, but Humpries has a hell of a chin, finally goes down and Dean immediately calls it.

Cris "Cyborg" vs Hitomi Akano

By know you know about Cyborg missing weight by an astounding seven pounds on her first try. After talks Cyborg was forced to make a catch weight and Akano agreed to the bouts. Props to Akano, a natural 135 pound who is going to be giving up a ton of weight in this bout.

Round 1

Porrada!

Akano starts with striking, but Cyborg reponds in kind, landing some big blows. Cyborg drags Akano to the ground, who briefly attempts an armlock but is forced to full guard. Cyborg back up, then more abuse before tossing Akano back to the mat. Cyborg wants her to stand, and each time it goes to the mat Cyborg backs off. Round ends.

Round 2

Cyborg stalks Akano, landing some powerful shots. Akano on her back and Cyborg lets her up. More stalking from Cyborg, Akano jumps to guard. Against the cage however, not much room for Akano to work. Cyborg passes guard but Akano hangs on and we are going to round 3.

Round 3

Akano tries to take it the ground but nothing doing. Cyborg keeps it standing and finisher off strikes.

Post fight interview Cyborg asks for forgiveness for missing weight and claims "women's issues".

Scott Smith vs Benji Radach

Round 1

These are some bright shorts BOTH fighters are wearing. Fighters circle and stalk for the first half of the round, not much is happening. Finally an exchange seems to hurt Radach, Smith moves in for the kill and right into a Radach punch. Now Radach has momentum but it settles briefly before Radach shoots for, and get the takedown. To Smith's full guard right now, Radach hammers as time expires.

Round 2

More circling and stalking as the crowd gets restless. Shot from Radach suns Smith, and as Radach moves in for the kill Smith shoots. Radach looks for a guillotine but Smith escapes. Smith is holding unto a single leg, not much action until referee Herb Dean separates them. Round ends on their feet.

Round 3
