Two silvers and a bronze for the team at Jim Mc Sherry's UMA groundfighting competition this afternoon; after a nightmare trip down the M6 we got to the comp and got stuck in! Daniel Richards and Simon Brown got the silvers in -85 and -75 respectively and Ben Ogunby the bronze in -85. Ben also scored the fastest arm bar submission in under 10 seconds, right out of the blue, great stuff Ben!!


Gaz Price fought an epic battle against the huge Leigh Hitchen (125K at least!!) losing out at the final minute and Phil Walmsley fought admirably against the seasoned veteran Paul Sawyer, reversing him twice, losing on two pins. Matt Hardaker fought a great match against team mate Daniel Richards, showing some slick moves on the floor, losing a closely fought battle against his fellow team mate.


Great day out, cracking atmosphere with some really vocal supporters! Well done to all the team mates, you did yourselves proud, as well as myself and the club - here's looking forward to the next one guys!!
