    Santos sees more entries for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu cup

    ABU DHABI — The second Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the Emirates Cup here at the UAE
    Wrestling and Judo Federation auditorium on December 16 is set to draw double the
    number of entries from last year´s inaugural event, according to the event manager
    and Emirates´ head coach Carlos Santos.
    The championship under the patronage of Abu Dhabi´s Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme
    Commander of the UAE Armed Forces General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for a
    total purse of Dh44,000 is set to draw entries from all over the Middle East, Europe
    and the U.S.

    Montana displayed his versatility winning by key lock submission to earn Fighter
    of the Night ( FOTN ) honors. Other candidates for FOTN honors were Brandon
    Oliver, Eddie Castro, Dominik Cruz, Gabriel Flores, David Marquez, Mike
    Ashford and Carlos Ortega.

    International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation

    Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Carlos Gracie, Jr., President of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation today announced that the IBJJF had officially recognized the North Carolina Jiu-Jitsu Federation as the organizing/supervising body for the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the State of North Carolina. In addition, Gracie announced the appointment of Joe Hurst as the President of the North Carolina Jiu-Jitsu Federation.
