This is a defense for the single leg that I have used many times in competition and that works very well for me but I caution you to be careful when using it on your training partners/fellow competitors because if they're not ready they can go face first into the mat pretty hard!! Just a quick note of condolences for the Alliance Team in Atlanta for the loss of Jim McPherson, passed away just shy of his 62 birthday after a yearlong battle with colon cancer, surrounded and comforted by loved ones.

While drug testing has not been done in most BJJ tournaments, it looks like the IBJJF is trying to level the playing field for their first big tournament of the year. That is because at the Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships, planned to be held from March 20-24, the IBJJF is going to have an anti-doping testing program implemented. The testing is going to be done by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
 

 USJJF is pleased to announce it has contracted with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to provide an anti-doping testing program at the Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships, to be held at the Bren Event Center in Irvine, Calif., on March 20-24, 2013.

USADA is the national anti-doping organization for the United States, and runs the U.S. testing program for the Olympic, Paralympic, and Pan-American movements, in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code.

 Dan Faggella is an Ivy League graduate in Skill Development and a Brown Belt No Gi Pan Am Champion. He founded Science of Skill in BJJ, LLC in 2010, and helps people from around the world build more effective BJJ games at ScienceofSkill.com.

 The event was a huge success!  The goal was to raise $5000.00 and the last I heard the total reached an even $7000.00!!  So a big congratulations for everyone involved.  Also a huge thank you to Tim Sledd for taking the time to put this together, it could not have went off better.

 You know I am against rape. I am against any type of violence, domestic, urban, between countries or whatever its may be. This is obvious. I think everybody who follows me or GRACIEMAG has the same opinion.

The public taunting & harassing phone calls you have received are undeserved and my recent silence is partly to blame.

I have in fact made statements in the local news

but those statements have not reached everyone

in our BJJ & MMA family and this is the reason my silence ends today...
