Vinny had just won his +99 kg division a little earlier today, which included a grueling finals match against defending champion Fabricio Werdum. This may have given Santana the aggression advantage.

-Mario Sperry defeats Renzo Gracie via points (5-0). The mats were very slippery in this match, which made conditions a little more difficult for both men. Sperry utilized his 35-pound weight advantage effectively and secured a takedown and guard pass for the winning points.
