Scheduled to face Cung Le in the UFC 139, Vitor Belfort suffered a injury and was cut from the card and replaced by Wanderlei Silva. Via Twitter, Belfort reached out to his fans and suggested that could fight later this year, but did not disclose the details of his injury.
"I'm out of the card in November, but the good news is that the doctor said I would be ready in two weeks of December to fight, " wrote the fighter in the microblog, "I have to deal with this injury for four weeks, so we tought it was better to focus on treatment and be 100% healed to train. "
Belfort thanked his fan's support and promises to return to training as soon as possible.
"I thank all the strength you pass me, I'll be fine. I just have to do a good treatment and be well physically. In four weeks I will be ready to start training, "he added.
