After leaving my girlfriend Sarah in the airport to head back to the States I hopped on a plane to Sao Paulo from where I am now writing you. I spent one weekend in Sao Paulo to compete years ago when I was purple belt but this is the first time I've spent enough time here to actually get to know the city a little bit and I'm really loving it so far. Today I got the chance to train with a good friend of mine by the name of Felipe Lattari, black belt from team Cia Paulista under professor Eduardo Leitao, who spent about a year leaving in my house with me in Santa Cruz a few years back. He and his twin brother Vitor, who I met for the first time today, as well as Leitao and a number of other tough black belts were all in attendance today as well as a really tough group of blues and purples as well. It was awesome to see my Brazilian Brother Felipe and the whole crew received me really well and made me feel really welcome. Looking forward to lots more hard training with these guys before I head back to Rio!!
