www.thefightworkspodcast.com/The Abu Dhabi Combat Club World Submission Championship is less than a week away, and we’re gearing up coverage here on The FightWorks Podcast! Two of our three interviewees today will be competing this coming weekend in New Jersey at the ADCCs. Kurt Pellegrino is a Hermes Franca black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and fights in the UFC at 155 pounds. We’ll hear how Kurt saved himself from a future that wasn’t for him by turning to the combat sports and is now 10-2 in the mixed martial arts with almost all of his wins coming by submission. Kurt holds wins over Junior Assuncao and Mac Danzig. Kurt’s next fight will be against Joe “Daddy” Stevenson August 25 in the UFC in Las Vegas.

Baret Yoshida is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Egan Inoue and has been invited to compete in the ADCCs since 1999. We’ll get to know a little about Baret and his thoughts on the competition this coming weekend.

We will wind down our show with a conversation with Zach Arnold of FightOpinion.com. Zach covers the sport of MMA with a scrutinizing and curious eye, and I was interested in learning more about his background and what makes him tick. We’ll also discuss the Ed Fishman lawsuit against Pride, and how it affects the UFC now that they have acquired Pride.
