Real Fight Gear presents: ROF 19 Showdown

The main event for ROF 19 SHOWDOWN has been officially signed and can now be announced. K-1 USA Veteran Andre Walker will face UFC Veteran Aaron Brink in a K-1 Rules Super Fight. Both fighters are very hungry and want to get in the mix with the K-1 World Grand Prix series. Walker was well on his way a few years ago when he finished K-1 USA star Carter Williams in their meeting at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Injuries and personal problems kept Walker out of the lime light and the Denver fighter quickly faded from the public eye. Brink comes from the southern California breeding ground of fighters, Huntington Beach. He came up through the ranks the same time as close friend Tito Ortiz. Brink has fought in nearly every North American promotion including WEC, RITC, WFA and IFC events. Brink has fought in Japan and Holland, but his biggest exposure was a UFC appearance against the promotion’s current heavy weight champion Andre Arvloski. This will be Brink’s first fight under K-1 rules but is looking forward to the opportunity. When asked about the fight, Brink responded “I am going to take the Gary Goodridge approach and just swing for the fences. I really like my chances in this fight and see this as my way to get to K-1 Japan and the big boys of the sport. Andre is a great fighter and a great guy, but this is business and he is in my way.” Walker responded in similar fashion “I know Aaron is a tough guy with heavy handsand a solid chin But this is my game, K-1 is my sport. He won’t be able to keep up with my pace and I know my style will frustrate him. He’ll make a mistake and I’ll be there when he does.” The Walker vs. Brink match is the main event of solid fight card, featuring MMA, K-1 and Shoot Boxing rules matches. ROF 19 SHOWDOWN will be held Saturday, September 10th at the DC Event Center in Castle Rock, CO. Tickets are on sale now at all KING SOOPERS stores or online at www.TICKETSWEST.com.
