RFT – Renovação Fight Team – is a team, based in Rio de Janeiro, created by Marcio “Cromado”, a former student from Luta-Livre legend Eugenio Tadeu. Names like Luciano Azevedo, Luis “Besouro” Jr. and Leonardo “Chocolate” Nascimento are fighters that have a great recognize in Brazil, specially Azevedo, the only man that defeated the WEC Champion Jose Aldo.
But, besides his success in Brazil, RFT now also has a great work in UK, with the Luta-Livre Black Belt Marcelo “Brigadeiro”. Last Saturday, six students of the RFT-UK fought in “Olympian MMA Championship IV”, in Liverpool, and five won his fights. In the main event, Paul Sass defeated Jason Young with an ankle lock, and retains the Lightweight belt of the organization.
Sass, by the way, has a record in Guiness Book. He has 10 consecutive victories by triangle choke.
The RFT-UK record impresses: 77 victories in 82 fights (94% success)!
UFC fighters Terry Etim, Paul Taylor and Paul Kelly usually train with the team, that appears stronger than never.
