Just a quick note of condolences for the Alliance Team in Atlanta for the loss of Jim McPherson, passed away just shy of his 62 birthday after a yearlong battle with colon cancer, surrounded and comforted by loved ones.
It’s always been a pleasure in my travels to encounter the McPhersons and the were the epitomes of class acts, greatsportmen and ambassadors for our art of Jiu Jitsu. Always a handshake, a how are you doing and and a great conversation on Jiu Jitsu and his son Ian, who you could tell he was immensely proud of. Rest in Peace Mr. Jim, you will be missed.

Dear friends I am very sad to inform that Mr Jim McPherson just passed away this afternoon in Atlanta Ga he was one of my best friends and more than that he was my brother, I know we all have to go one day but he was a special person we met about 12 years ago and have been together on the mats and outside the mats ever since, just want to say It was a privilege to have met you and have you representing my team Alliance with honor and pride all these years as for his beloved son Ian McPherson I just want to say that we will always be there for you there is nothing else I can say at this moment except that you will be solely missed rest in piece Jim I love you, God Bye old friend.
