RIP Paul ‘Gilly’ Gilligan
I write bearing the very sad news about the tragic death of my dear friend and student Paul ‘Gilly’ Gilligan, who was stabbed twice in the shoulder and heart on a night out at the weekend, who died in the early hours of Sunday July 13th.
Another victim of knife crime which has reached epidemic proportions across the whole of the UK; as I write this article news has come in of another stabbing fatality in South London, we are under siege by mindless thugs, cowards hiding behind a knife and making lives a misery up and down the country.
Paul was an extremely popular man whose death had destroyed lives and shook the whole of Manchester; a very popular club member has been taken away from us, the whole club is devastated at the tragic news, I am still trying to come to terms with his death, as are all his family and friends.
RIP Gilly, you have left a void that will never be filled; training will never be the same without you.
