In July, former ADCC absolute champion Robert Drysdale only needed 72 seconds to win his long-awaited MMA debut. He did so by submitting Bastien Huveneers via Arm-Triangle Choke in the co-main event of Armageddon Fighting Championship 3 - Evolution.
This past Saturday night, Drysdale would return to the same venue of his debut MMA fight, the Bear Mountain Arena in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This time, Drysdale would headline Armageddon Fighting Championships 4 - Revelation against KOTC and IFC veteran Clay Davidson. In his sophomore MMA performance, Drysdale would again only need one round to secure a fight-ending submission. At 2:54 of the first round, Drysdale forced Davidson to submit via Armbar. Davidson was the local fan favorite, bringing with him a 5-1 record, which now stands at 5-2.
Meanwhile, Drysdale has been making Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, his home away from home. He has now strung together a flawless 2-0 record in MMA by submitting both of his Canadian opponents at the Bear Mountain Arena in a total of 4 minutes and 6 seconds.
Drysdale is one of the most accomplished grapplers in the world and has over 90 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu titles to his credit. He also operates his own martial arts school in Las Vegas, where classes are offered to students of all ages and skill levels in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts.
