• Online registration for the U.S. Open X Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament, Saturday and Sunday, October 22-23, in Santa Cruz, CA is now available. Go to www.register4tournament.com and click on the state of California to find our event.
• Call to sponsors--Anyone who would like to sponsor the tournament by purchasing a booth at the U.S. Open X, and thereby support one of the longest-running and best-regarded BJJ tournaments in the country please contact us at blackbelt@claudiofrancabjj.com or call (831) 476-7650 to receive our sponsorship proposal package. Come be a part of one of the best competition experiences in the states!
• Past U.S. Open Competitors - we will be putting together a museum to commemorate the last 9 years of the U.S. Open, and to help raise money for our charity the Bay school. Anyone who has photos or other U.S. Open memorabilia they are willing to share with us, please mail them to the following address: CFBJJA 2-1507 East Cliff Drive, Santa Cruz, CA 95062. We regret that we cannot return photos, so please send copies.
• U.S. Open Charity - this year 25% of ticket proceeds as well as the money raised by the U.S. Open Museum will go to the Bay School, an institution dedicated to educating children with autism. To learn more about this organization, visit their website at http://www.thebayschool.org/home.html .
• Ladies! Free Women`s Only Seminar for female competitors. The Claudio Franca Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association will host an all-women`s jiu-jitsu seminar with current Pan-Am champion Black Belt Luka Tavares on Friday, October 21st, from 6:30 - 9:30 pm at the Louden-Nelson Center in Santa Cruz. Price: $50 General Public; $40 CFBJJA members; and U.S. Open competitors attend for free!
