The World Jiu-Jitsu Championships (Mundials) were held at CSU - Long Beach in Long Beach, CA this past extended weekend. I was a spectator supporting teammates in the white and purple belt divisions. If you have not been to a large tournament such as the World Jiu-Jitsu, you absolutely need to. Many of the jiu-jitsu greats were spotted. I got to meet Marcelo Garcia, Ryan Hall, Cris Cyborg, Caio Terra, and more!
Not only was I there for the tournament, I was on a mission to visit an OTM Fight Shop. There was one in my area (San Jose, CA) a few years ago, but at that time, I was not exposed to anything mixed martial arts. I was fortunate to visit the Huntington Beach and Redondo Beach fight shops. The OTM representatives were all very nice and I got to try on many gis. (OTM makes some really nice girl-tailored gis...). Scotty, you need to bring the San Jose store back, the Bay Area loves MMA!
