James Head is a professional mixed martial artist and a purple belt under Rafael Lovato Jr. He trains out of Lovato Jiu Jitsu in Oklahoma City, OK. He is currently 6-1 as a pro and will be participating in the tryouts for the reality television show, "The Ultimate Fighter" (TUF) which is ran by the UFC.

On October 9th, 2010 Lovato Jiu Jitsu was pleased to host the 12th Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Association Tournament in Oklahoma City, OK. Leading up to that day, Lovato's welcomed many visitors of the RJJA to the school to train, get to know each other and exchange ideas. Throughout the week we were graced with more and more training partners. On the 8th of October we were able to take the instructors to a local restaurant, the Deep Fork Grill where they were treated to some excellent food, an amazing opportunity to hear from one another and share ideas.

The 2nd American to win the Mundials and 1st American to win the Brasiliero as a Black Belt, Rafael Lovato Jr. Omoplata highlight. This highlight is just a preview to the first instructional series done by Rafael, which will be an App detailing Rafael's Omoplata game. Look for this to be released some time this fall. It will be a 3 part series and will initially be released on the iPhone.  We are working on getting it in the Android Market as well.

Mauricio Veio (Evolucao Thai) is in Oklahoma City at Lovato Jiu Jitsu teaching all week this week.  I couldn't begin to explain how excited I am.  Mauricio is the Muay Thai trainer for Shogun Rua - my favorite fighter.
