One of the early pioneers of the NorCal scene is Cesar Gracie, who held his fifth Gracie Open at Mount Diablo Community College this year.

Once again NorCal's finest showed up for Cesar Gracie's Gracie Open tournament. Some very quick results:

Nate Diaz beat Josh Thompson in a 6-6 match based on aggressiveness. Both had some near submissions, but Nate had more and was more aggressive.

I'm in the final stages of setting up a potentially pretty massive project on the OTM space.

Before it's ready to be unleashed upon the general public, I'm going to need some Beta Testers (8 more) to poke around the project, use it, give suggestions, etc.

The more geeky and verbose you are, the better.....

The Pan Americans of Submission Grappling took place on June 3rd in Long Beach, and marked another consistently action packed and well run tournament! THe highlight was the Team 555 Challenge.

Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Ryan Bennett. Ryan was a long time supporter of the sport in both a broadcaster and founder of www.MMAWeekly.com

A tragic car accident claimed the life of our dear friend and founder of MMAWeekly on Wednesday 5/31/2006 while traveling with his family. While driving to St. George, UT the tire blew out on his car, causing the vehicle to roll. Ryan was killed instantly.

This time, we've decided to open up our feature tournament to all competitors! This will be a unique and fun grappling experience!
