Johnny Eduardo ready to face a tough opponent at Shooto Brazil

Chosen to dispute the South American up to 65 kg belt in the next edition of Shooto Brazil, which happens on August 6th, in Rio de Janeiro, Bellator veteran Johnny Eduardo is training hard for this fight. He’ll face the tough Paulo Guerreiro.

The fighter spoke about the confrontation.

"I’m training hard, both standing, as well as on the floor, wrestling, and fitness. I’m focused, ready, and really want this belt", he said, "My opponent is a tough guy, I never have an easy fight. He is an excellent striker, a big name from Fortaleza, and is very experienced. Let’s make a great fight".

Coming from nine straight wins, Johnny hopes to keep the good phase and his name among the top Brazilian athletes in his weight category.

"That’s the hard part, maintaining the good phase, and this sequence of victories. So I am training very well and keeping focused, not to fail in this important moment".

If he wins, Johnny will honor a person who is sorely lacking in his life, the Grand Master Luiz Alves, who died in the beginning of this year.

"I miss my Big Daddy and Master Luiz Alves. He is lacking in everything, both in practice and in psychological part, but I’m sure he’s watching me and I dedicate this victory to him", he concluded.
