While UFC middleweight contender Alan Belcher (17-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) generally enters the cage sporting a pair of Muay Thai trunks, he's also registered four submission wins in the octagon.

And now, he's a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt.

Belcher, who began training in the grappling art at just 14 years old, was recently granted the rank of black belt by his longtime instructor, Helio Soneca.

Rumor has it ESPN might be starting their own MMA League to go head to head with UFC?

If this is true then the UFC again has some serious competition. ESPN is the larges sports network in the world but where will they get the stars to fight? UFC has all the top guys on lock down already.

Mixed Marital Arts heavyweight fighter Brett Charles Rogers was arrested again Monday morning in Apple Valley after authorities say he violated terms of his pre-sentencing release.

Brett Charles Rogers, the mixed martial arts heavyweight fighter from Apple Valley who pleaded guilty last month to assaulting his wife in June, was arrested this morning on an outstanding warrant.

It didn't come easy, but it did come in spectacular fashion, as M-1 Global light heavyweight champ Vinny Magalhaes scored a third-round stoppage of impressive challenger Mikhail Zayats.

Magalhaes survived some early challenges from his foe before landing a crushing high kick that ultimately led to the finish.

The bout served as the featured contest of Friday night's "M-1 Challenge: Magalhaes vs. Zayats" event, which took place in Phoenix's Grand Canyon University Arena. The night's main card aired on Showtime.

Yesterday, MMA gear company “Manto” posted a sneak preview of a photo from an upcoming photo shoot with two female models grappling. Unfortunately, this NSFW advertisement (which you can look at here if you are over 18) included a bare nipple poking out from one of the participants!
