Gumby ties the knot today with his long time girlfriend Pam!  I am so god damn pissed off I can't be there today! I know it is going to be a hell of a party with the who's who of BJJ in the house. 

Good luck to them both and I hope to be an uncle Scotty soon!

I made it out of surgery ok. It took about an hour longer than they expected, because there was so much to clean up, mostly bits of disc material. 

I spent the next two days in the hospital. The fun started right when I woke up. I jumped awake and grabbed the nurse's arm so hard that I almost pulled her in the bed with me. This startled her a bit and she gave out a bit of a scream. 

Today is the Day!  I am going in to the hospital for my back surgery today. I am far from happy about it though. It is a really depressing and frustrating situation. We got so much going on at OTM these days, missing any time is just awful. 

I am even missing the great Gumby's bachelor party! 

One of the huge problems is that I can't travel for 6 months. ACK! That is a lot of fights and tournaments to miss out on. And, I already missed out on Pac Sub in Hawaii.

Since i cant walk every good and my back is all jacked up i have gotten a few perks out of the deal.  This weekend while flying up to see the famous Dr. Pete who works on all the top fighters and sports athletes i had a Dr's note that let me get on the plane first. It was great!

Dr. Pete is a great guy and really helped me stand up straighter and improved my posture. I suggest you go check him out if your in LA or San Francisco.

I went to take a piss at the Built To Fight warehouse and just as I was about to relieve myself, I noticed Tracy Lee from www.CombatLifestyle.com about to snap a pic of me!  This kind of pressure of course is stressful. I almost couldn't stand the pressure, but the pressure was to much and I finally got it all out.  Tracy how did the pic turn out? Is that a wide angle?

I made it to back to the hospital, the same place where I had to go to the emergency room. The same place no one wanted to do an MRI on me, because I wasn't hurt bad enough? But here I am, back again.  MRI is always a fun experience, slid into the tunnel that feels the way a coffin must. I just close my eyes and listen to the loud buzzing and clicking.

After I got out of the emergency room, I got sent to a few doctors for follow up to my back injury. I got sent to a pain specialist & orthopedic surgeon. The pain guy just wanted to pump me up with cortisone and crap. I was over that, but he did take this crazy x-ray of my discs. 

I don't go to the emergency room unless I think it is life threatening or something is broken.  I don't like to go to the Dr. much at all. Been too many times.

While I was in China, I managed to mess my back up again. I was in a lot of pain over there and went home early.  Since I have been back, my back has really been bugging me.  I have been getting a lot of help from my two good Dr.'s See plug below:

Today I was home resting, cause I hurt my back and all this traveling on busses, vans, cabs, and planes has really jacked up my back.  So I couldn't take the 3 hours to the factory and 3 hours back. So I stayed back and relaxed.  I just got up to go eat in the hotel restaurant. 

Most of the hotels we stay in have a western menu, but this place is way out in north China and there were no other westerners around here.  So they had no menu in English or anyone that could speak English to help.  So I had to try to figure this one out.
