Saturday November, 20 2010 will be host to Jay Pages Jiu-Jitsu’s largest Belt and Stripes Testing group to date! This test will be a long and extensive one! This test will be the last one for the year and the last one before we switch to our automated system of tracking mat time/training time. RITC 147 in Tucson, AZ is a no go for PCA!

Just a quick update. We originally had Bashir Saber and Gustavo Romero scheduled to fight at RITC 147 in Tucson, AZ on December 3rd. Unfortunately they had to be pulled from the card due to injury. Bashir to a knee injury and Gustavo to a rib injury. It’s an unfortunate circumstance but it’s all part of the game. It seems that we are all done for the year with MMA events. Now it’s time to take the next few months to hone our skills and sharpen all the tools in the shed and to hit ground running when 2011 comes around! We’ll keep up the good work!

Hello, my name is Marisol Romero. I am 13 year old female. I am an orange belt in BJJ. I’ve been training since late August of 2008. I now train under Robert Drysdale in Las Vegas, Nevada. I train 5-7 days a week and 2-5 hours a day. I practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Kali. I train my BJJ with Robert Drysdale, and my boxing with both Gil Martinez and Carlos Ruffulo. I’m looking to get into wrestling. My dream is to be a Pro MMA Fighter.

There's two big tournamnets coming up in new jersey.

in two weeks, NAGA hits Newark, NJ with the North American Grappling Championship on 11/20/10.
I'm looking to compete in both gi and no-gi as well as both absolute divisions. that's four divisions in one day. my team is certainly getting me ready for it. and i'm stoked!!

Then in december, there's the Grappler's Quest World Series in Asbury Park, NJ. that too i plan on competing and helping to coach some first time competitors.

Owen Anderson Promoted!!!!

Owen Anderson (8 years old) of Gracie San Diego was recently promoted to yellow belt earlier this week after just one year of training. Owen, who trains under head instructors Regis Lebre & Johnny Faria, started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after his father, Chris Anderson, a blue belt at the academy started in February of 2009. In August of this year, Owen competed in his very first tournament, at which he took home a silver metal.
