The Abu Dhabi World Pro Jiu-Jitsu Cup 2012 takes place next month in Abu Dhabi, UAE and it's one of the most important Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi) tournaments of the year.  The event takes place from April 12-14, 2012 and allows competitors compete for substantial cash prizes.

This Saturday is the Abu Dhabi Pro Trials in San Diego and It looks like my division is shaping up to be the toughest and most exciting of the entire event!!
 
I'm competing in the 163 and below Brown and Black Belt division among some of the best competitors in the world including Kron Gracie, Zak Maxwell, Mike Fowler, Marcos Torregrosa and Ryan Beauregard. Also in the division are some of my rivals in Tim Peterson, Ryan Sosa, Beneil Dariush and Tanner Rice, any of which I would love to have a rematch against.

Fully focused on MMA, Vinicius "Pezão" Magalhães didn't even do Jiu-Jitsu-specific training, but even so he was one of the standouts at ADCC 2011, winning the heavyweight division after withstanding a seemingly arm-snapping arm bar from Fabricio Werdum. Back in his days in the gi, Pezão starred in major battles with gentle art icons, catapulting him into the world of full-contact fighting.
