LAS VEGAS -- The UFC made its debut on FOX yesterday, the start of a multi-year deal which brings the company’s mixed-martial arts catalog to primetime network television.

On the surface, it might seem like a huge blow to boxing to have MMA exposed to millions of viewers on a weekend boxing is holding a mega-fight. But Top Rank boss Bob Arum isn’t the least bit concerned.

Gay fighters should come out!

LAS VEGAS -- If the Ultimate Fighting Championship has gay fighters, their boss believes they should emerge from the closet and not worry about it.

"I'll tell you right now, if there was a gay fighter in UFC, I wish he would come out," UFC President Dana White said Thursday. "I could care less if there's a gay fighter in the UFC. There probably is and there's probably more than one."

Dana White often fires back at his critics.

Nate Marquardt fails his medicals and gets released by the UFC

Shortly before today's weigh-in for UFC Live 4 - Marquardt vs. Story, which was scheduled for 4 p.m. EST, UFC president Dana White posted a video on his official Twitter account stating that he has fired main event fighter Nate Marquardt.

"He failed his medicals. Not only is he out of this fight and out of the main event on Versus, he will no longer be with the UFC,” stated the unhappy UFC boss.
