GSP out 10 months with torn ACL; Diaz vs. Condit to fight for interim title at UFC 143

    Thu, 2011-12-08 10:27 — Bevois

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The confusion at the top of the UFC welterweight division just took another turn yesterday. The UFC just announced that longtime division champion Georges St-Pierre, who was forced out of his return to the Octagon 10 days before he was set to defend his title in October, will now be sidelined for the next 10 months as he rehabilitates a torn ACL in his knee.

Georges St. Pierre makes between $4 and $5 million per fight.

Those are the figures he gave to Agence France-Presse last week in a quick interview during his time in Las Vegas for the UFC 137 event.

St. Pierre was asked if he is the highest-paid fight in the world. He replied, “I do not know, but I learned that the UFC makes the most money on Pay Per View when I am fighting. That made me smile!

Interview with Edwin "Young Assasin" Najmi

    Wed, 2010-12-22 21:17 — littleone

A couple weeks ago I took the time to interview my training partner, Edwin Najmi, a blue belt active competitor who is beginning to sweep the scene.
Although he's younger than most seasoned competitors out there, he has proven his place in the bjj world and has a lot of potential. Often seen as Romulo Barral's mini-me or sometimes even relative, he has followed his professor's footsteps in more ways than one. Check out what this "Young Assassin" has to say regarding his training regiments, accomplishments and goals.
