This last weekend I had the privelege of competing in the 2013 IBJJF Las Vegas Spring International Open and after two hard fights I came away with the bronze medal! My first fight was against the baseball bat choker Magid Hage of Gracie Barra who I defeated with a guard pass (video coming soon) and my second fight was against the reigning middleweight world champion Otavio Sousa, also of Gracie Barra, who after six minutes of hard fighting with the score standing 0-0 was able to catch me in an armbar from the closed guard (video above).
