November, 20th 2010 Belt Testing a Huge Success!

To date, November 20th was the largest testing group with 21 students being tested! Everyone worked very hard of the past 2 months leading up to the test! As part of this test, I promoted 4 new blue belt. It was a long and arduous test, everyone passed with flying colors, and everyone had a briliant performance! I couldn't be prouder of this test group. We were also joined with my long time friend and training partner, Ruffhouse Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Jay Inciong and his family Jinky, Isabelle, and Jacob. Thank you for joining us and partaking in this very joyous occasion!

Saturday November, 20 2010 will be host to Jay Pages Jiu-Jitsu’s largest Belt and Stripes Testing group to date! This test will be a long and extensive one! This test will be the last one for the year and the last one before we switch to our automated system of tracking mat time/training time. After I got out of the emergency room, I got sent to a few doctors for follow up to my back injury. I got sent to a pain specialist & orthopedic surgeon. The pain guy just wanted to pump me up with cortisone and crap. I was over that, but he did take this crazy x-ray of my discs.

Just an update on a few things that are going on. Firstly (and I'm knocking on wood as I type), my knee is good and I'm back training on the squad. The departure of Mike and Dave has left our side of the house empty, so the latest arrival Anthony, has been given a bed. Also, kickboxer Danielle Ackerman from Holland is here to brush up on her tan and BJJ and Anthony is training hard and promises not to be a pussy. Already he has proved he's serious by landing at 10 and training at 12, straight off an 18 hour flight ...............good job.
