KEARNEY, Nebraska – A pair of rising talents face each other in the first Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) five-round championship title fight at the Viaero Event Center in Kearney, Nebraska on Friday, November 30th. 
Jared “Demon Eyes” Downing and Jordan “All Day” Rinaldi will face each other for the RFA’s featherweight (145-pound) title in the main event of RFA 5 – Downing vs. Rinaldi. The card includes 12 bouts that begin at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, November 30th.
Tickets are $22 and $30 (plus $6 fees) and go on sale Friday, September 28th at the Viaero Event Center box office, by calling 308.338.8011, or online at www.KearneyEvents.com. Ringside tables seat six and cost $600.
Downing and Rinaldi are RFA veterans and have forged careers with wins over some of the sport’s top fighters.
Downing (9-1) fought on the first two RFA cards in Kearney, defeating Eric Marriott at RFA 1 and Alessandro Ferreira at RFA 2. Fighting out of Hard Drive MMA in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Downing is respected as an all-around fighter with strong standup skills.
Rinaldi (6-0) of Charlotte, North Carolina, trains at Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu with Team ROC and appeared in March as one of 32 contestants on the sixteenth season of the UFC’s hit reality TV show “The Ultimate Fighter”. Rinaldi’s fight resume includes a win over UFC star Dennis Bermudez. He also won an eye-opening fight at RFA 3 in June over the previously unbeaten up-and-comer Mark Dickman.
The pro card is loaded with several more familiar names and RFA fan favorites, including T.J. Hepburn (1-0), Cody Land (6-3), and Matt Manzanares (5-1).
Hepburn won his pro MMA debut via TKO at RFA 3 this summer. A national champion wrestler at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), he also fought as an amateur at RFA 2 in March, where he knocked out his opponent.
Land is one of the RFA’s top young prospects, who recently moved his training from Hastings to Omaha’s Premier Combat Center. Manzanares is a former No Mercy Extreme Fighting bantamweight champion out of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
The amateur card includes some of Nebraska’s top prospects who have fought on previous RFA cards, including Kearney-based fighters Enrique Torres (12-1-1), Tony Rodriguez (4-1-1), Jesus Sandoval (3-1-1) and Richard Barajas (6-3). RFA newcomers Josh Smith, a former UNK wrestler, and Kenny Navas of Kearney also will fight as amateurs. The full fight card will be released soon.
