Fight 1

The Pan-Ams have been over for a few days now, but I am still feeling the effects. My team and I had kind of a rough start, but it all came together in the end on Sunday. From finding out that my gi was illegal, to losing my first match in the absolute, to being in a triangle for nearly 4 minutes, it was a very rocky tournament experience.

Well, I am in Los Angeles now getting ready to go to the tournament in a little while to coach my students. I couldn't feel any better. My mind is focused and my body is rested. On Wednesday, I spent about 45 minutes working with Saulo Ribeiro. He drilled me through some positions and then at the end gave me some pointers. It was awesome. Well, the last few days have been pretty difficult for me. I haven't been able to train, only conditioning and drills. I am addicted to training, I train everyday and when I am in the same city as Saulo & Xande, you know I am dying to train with them. So to have to sit around and not be able to battle with my mentors has made me pretty depressed. I am trying to channel all that energy into my matches this weekend.
