    Tue, 2010-09-28 13:22 — Scotty

dmtwarrior did a great new video called "Ask a Black Belt".  If you havent see it check i out here:

I know we all have some great questions we would like to ask some of the best BJJ Black Belts in the world.  So add your questions here.

Ill star with one.  What was your biggest or first "ah ha?" moment.

Mine was when i was working arm drag from the guard a lot but i was having problems with bigger guys.  I asked David Cam about it.  I said to him, " I have a real problem moving these bigger guys and getting them in the possition i need, it hard to pull them to me." He then told me something so simple i felt a bit silly at the time but it really changed my game and made my armdrags a lot better. He siad, "Why are you trying to move them? Why dont you move yourself to them. You can always move yourself into possition easier than you can move someone else no matter what the size."

I was like "AH HA!" and i started moving to people and not trying to move them to me. LOL

I got a few others but lets hear why you guys got to say.

Mine was when I was looking at fire when I was a kid. I could not figure out why i could not carry it with me so I grabbed hold of the flame. That was the first Ah Ha moment. Number two was when I learned you could carry a flame it was called a cigarette lighter.  The moments just keep on coming: :)
