over the shoulder guard??

    Tue, 2013-04-23 12:52 — Gerald Rhoades

Ive seen a few dudes do a closed guard position, usually as a setup to the omoplata, where you break them down then have the with an over under grip that connects under one of you legs...i think neil melanson called it over the shoulder guard.....
does anyone know if there are any instructionals on this position , or books, or anything for that matter...
    thanks...

I think the guard you were asking about is called rubber guard, google stuff about it.  If it isn't rubber guard can you add more details about it so I have a better idea about what you're asking?

     A few people have suggested

A few people have suggested Eddie Bravo's book. You can find it on amazon or the likes. I've also read that this is a must learn, and as a side note requires a bit of flexibility. This has actually intrigued my interest and I'm excited to practice it.
