Thoughts on Vera vs Eilers

    Tue, 2006-02-07 01:25 — Gumby

Brandon Vera is one of the most promising fighters in the UFC. Enough said.

....And he hasn't even gotten to show off his ground skills in the UFC.

....And not even the commentators have played on the fact he is one of the top Greco-Roman guys in the country.

....and I'll tell you right now, his biggest attribute is his heart.

I'd rather see him at 205 however, taking on the winner or Lidell vs Babalu.

Brandon Vera has the chance to do a lot of damage in the UFC. He has potential star written all over him. But Joe Silva can't throw him to the wolves too early. Let him gradually make his way up, and build off his star power.
