Calendula,
Tea tree oil,
grape seed extract.
They all kill fungus.
in addition to a great germicide, the way to keep it off the mats, and this is the hardest part probably, is to keep the guys with ringworm from coming anywhere near the mats. (not that u didn't know that one already baleia, just saying...). so many of us everywhere with a grappling addiction can't stay off when we're injured, much less so when it's a bit of ringworm we convince ourselves "isn't contagious anymore", lol.
Gee, we just use thoes purple swiffer thinks to clean our mats......and we've never had a problem.

With my 2 boys doing BJJ and wrestling I purchased a mat for them. This is something I'm trying to prevent myself. Here are a few links to items I'm going to try. These have been recommended to me by some of the other dads I have meet at the tournaments. Cliff Keen Mat Cleaner and maybe you can get some of this to put on before. The kids at the wrestling tournaments even put this on their hair. Kennedy KS Skin Creme.
These might be a bit cheaper.
These might be a bit cheaper. This is actually what I'm on my way to purchase later today. Cliff Keen Mat Cleaner
If you want a cheap way to keep mats clean use either amonia and water or bleach dilluted with water. Both should not damage the amt and will kill any fungas. I use bleach on my mats with no problems.
