BJ Penn vs Matt Hughs

    Fri, 2006-08-25 19:11 — KibunInc

Now that Rush is out of the picture, we get to see the fight we all wanted to, Penn vs Hughs. How do you think the match up will go? Ihave it as a toss up. Both are excellent fighters with Penn having better strikes and awesome JJ. Hughs is a stud on the ground and very strong. I look forward to this match up.

Yeah that would be interseting if BJ wears his belt. I would laugh if BJ walks over and takes Hughs belt before the fight and puts it in his corner.

I know BJ is very confident, but my pick is with Matt.

according to those "in the know", if BJ's mental game is where it should be, then he will beat matt. matt's almost not a factor.

but then again it's been what, 4 years since they fought last? matt's come a long way...

BJ's very talented. I remember reading somewhere when the wrestling vs bjj debates were at their height ... he did an interview and said that he did and anyone else who wanted to be the best they can on the ground, should of course practice bjj often AND THEN get the very best WRESTLING instruction you can find!

I wonder if he ever hooked up with NCAA champ and homeboy, Travis Lee from Cornell to work out.

I don't know about that. We're all the same. Some people choose to work in an office & some choose to fight. Without the office worker to buy tickets the fighters would'nt be able to get paid.

All of the guys that I call friend in MMA are great guys. There's no ego's & the people that support MMA are very appreciated.
