I'm Going to Rio this month ..any advice

    Fri, 2006-09-08 10:12 — bharris1113@hot...

I'm Brandon from Maryland. I study at the Yamasaki Academy in Rockville. I'll probably be going to Rio De Janiero at the end of the month. Does anyone have any aadvice or tips on places to eat, visit, places to stay away from etc.? Also 3 of my buddies and myself will be looking for an apartment or something to rent for a week. Email me at thanks!

I think scottys article would cover that. those camps seem cool but there has got to be better ways to do it. world champs and 2 or 3 or 23 black belts in the room at one time is not unusual over there. maybe u shouldnt buy the hype, but the packaged way could be the way to go for some people

he didnt mention anything about devils beach. i forget what two towns its between. I went to a club with the most beautiful girl in the world. I met her in san diego at colledge. on the way back her friend didnt want to bring me past a certain town. maybe ipanema. so she dropped me off. they wanted to put me in cab but i wouldnt have it. I walked. then i stopped at a beer stand that are about every 1/4 mile on the beach. I drank with the guy and bought him beers. then he just started giving me beers and cooked me some off the menu shrimp dish. then i walked the rest of the way home. i think it was a hostile in copicabana. right outside the door is a park and they wont let u bring chicks home. they thought the two chicks were hookers. so the walk home was hazy but i cut through devils beach up through the dirt trails and the little park. pretty stupid but i made it. had the attitude that i was more dangerous than they were and thats how i carried myself. cuz who is crazy enough to do that.

my first time there we had a couple sponsors who put us up and got a rental car. the car was theirs but we ended up stranded on our first night on their side of town. basically they did not want to drive us from copacaban (ceasars) to san cohado. so they let us take the van. it was raining and it was night but i quickly volunteered to drive. that was fun. 100% sober too. made a wrong turn and started back in the tunnel to where i came from. but i found a little cut through in the tunnel wall to do a U. got back to our house in the mountains in san cohado. fat house. it belonged to an artist and i think he liked young boys so he let us stay there. he had a river through his back yard and a little cave dug out into the river that u got to through a stair case in his house. that was the sauna. art in everyroom. we brought girls back and they liked it. the next morning we had to drive the car down to that hotel in san cohado. I took a wrong turn down a one way right in front of one of the little cop stations. they have cops on corners in little booths. so he came into the hotel parking lot and got me. held me. i told my teammater to "go get coach". then tried to stall until coach got down stairs. gave the guy my license and played dumb like i didnt understand them. then coach got me out of it for no money.
