Dummies anyone??

    Tue, 2006-10-03 20:30 — Gerald Rhoades

i just wanted to see if any of you guys out there have been using grappling dummies to tweak technique while at home?? ive been seriously considering getting either the grapple man or the bubba dummy (think im more inclined towards the grappleman , although theres gonna be a bubba 2 soon).
i know its no where near as good as a real life partner , but for being at home by yourself i think it may be useful..
    what do you guys think??

I have never used one but if there is no one around and you want to practice drills, they seem like a good training tool.

I have played with one. They are fun. Good for flow drills and for shit that your friend would just get borred of.

I also have a nice blow up doll. I use her when i need pratice.

    hello,

once tried to use a grappling dummy. lost by submission. ugly situation. perhaps a blow up doll would present less of a combat challenge?

    heeheehee!

    thanks.

just like the montypython troupe. only with less international appeal.

    thanks.

    hello,

perhaps this is the rationale behind "lucky gi"? perhaps the creator of that was thinking the same thing as underdog?
