Rany Yahra - thoughts??
Wed, 2006-10-25 19:03 — Anonymous
Rany Yahra seems to be one of the most under rated and prolific grapplers on the planet with a high percentage of match ending Brabo/D'Arce style submissions. (He did recently suffer a "fluke" loss via guillotine choke in MMA).
Any thoughts on this superior grappler?

did u check the OTM data base. I have some old campos footage of him. tournament of pros. of course abu dahbi.
hello,
thanks to hpf, will continue looking. any videos around here of a guy called franjinha? just wondering.
thanks.
the teacher at paragon? check youtube and the OTM archives. but he has a new instructional where he shows some moves along with jeff glover and his brother tyronne. and some others. i havnt seen it yet. maybe i will get a review out on it.
hello,
hey hpf! yes, the instructor at paragon. went there on friday and trained with those guys. ricardomiller waas impressive, so thought to liik up some stuff featuring him. will continue looking.
thanks.
Where did he train prior to that?
Rani is a good staller. He also plays a good possium too. Just ask Parapina.
hello,
hey martypost? possum? can you think of any examples that might be posted somewhere? have never heard of a grappler playing possum. this is a very interesting idea. would really like to see that.
thanks
hello,
nevermind. someone on this end explained it. just had not heard the term before.
thanks.
anybody know the prob with wagney
hello,
just wondering if tournament promotions keep an archive of competitions? somewhere to find vid clips? tried looking up some on ranyyahra, but nothing really showed up. the couple that feature him are pretty cool and would like to find more.
thanks.
Rani has insane cardio.
Gumby, why upon reflection should he have beaten Leo? What was with his pointing and laughing at wagney? when he beat him at adcc?
I have some campos footage of him where he appears to be praying during his match.
It should be a great match up. I look forward to seeing it. :D
hello,
this is an old thread but it just brought a question to mind.
when facing an approximate equal (skill level wise), is it better to be more aggressive or more cautious? does one approach yield better results?
thanks.
I would say more fighters tend to be more cautious. neither one wants to lose by making a mistake. This I believe goes for JJ guys. Wrestlers are another story.
hello,
wrestlers? oh yeah. they seem to have the aggression thing down.
thanks.
