that is cheap!
You can't think about cost if you dont also think about value. Would I pay $165 bucks a month for martial arts lessons? I don't know. Would I pay $165 for my life to be enriched? Definitely. Jiu Jitsu has increased my confidence, decreased my body weight, and increased the length of my life. My buddies that I have met doing Jiu Jitsu are my friends for life. My wife is friends with their wives and gf's. What would you pay for a life style?
Another way to think about the cost is the recategorization of your budget. True, I might pay $165 per month for Jiu Jitsu, but I go constantly. How many times have you thought about going to "happy hour"? But, you headed to Jiu Jitsu. If that happens 4 times a month you have saved yourself money.
Don't get caught up with cost if you havent evaluated value.
agreed. that is a cheap deal. wish they were all that way!!
I pay when i can only make 1 day a week $30 a month and for unlimited i pay $75 a month. We are a pedro Sauer affiliate. kbjj.com
He is right. I know Ryan and he is an excellent instructor. If you don't mind driving to HB then you can train where I do at Todd Medina's gym. If staying inthe southbay area is better, then I would definently train with Ryan. Good luck. :D
kibuninc is in huntington beach? what is the name of toddmedina's gym?
perhaps a visit would be in order?
or it could be strange and offputting.
The gym is located in the MetRx gym off of 17th st and Newport Ave. It is called the fight school. I am there a few nights a week. Come on in and get a work out in. I teach the stand up (Thai-boxing) and Todd teaches the ground fighting. I am there almost every Monday for sure. Stop on in.
If you choose to stay in the southbay area then Ryan is awesome on the ground. He is a great person and a excellent instructor. Kibun holds alot of respect for Ryan.
thx guys I'll try'em
Thats just a month, then you have to buy a gi......then if you want to go to and seminars....youll end up buying acadmey gear....
When you first start it will be a little expensive.
Im on the east coast and only pay 95 a month for BJJ, judo, karate, and MMA classes........I get so much out of the classes I'd pay 95 a class!
It's worth it, especially if your gonna be training under a Gracie.
I guess then all my choices are going to be expensive because the only academies I can go too are: Gracie Academy in Torrance, Rickson Gracie Academy, Jean Jacques Machado academy, and Rigan Machado. no of them are cheap:(
From what you are saying you must be in the south bay area? Are you willing to go to Huntington Beach area?
yeah I live in the south bay. I could go to the hunigton beach area, what do you have in mind?
Well if your gonna pay that much, make sure the classes fit into your schedule so you don't miss any.
like pick a club that has what ur looking for aswell....take a toor and try a free class.....
even after i get my gear, i'll still be stuck with $165 per month. which come to be $1,980 per year!
