    hello,

agreed. nice video. anyone think eddiebravo got lucky with roylergracie? is that even possible? at that level?

have heard the guard (as approached by eddiebravo) is revolutionary. is this true? in what way?

it was mentioned that eddiebravo is "a stoner". he was on something? what? why? would hee have been allowed to keep the title had he one?

would really like any info about these things.

    thanks.

Eddie bravo does have some great ideas about JJ that is off of the beaten patch. Altough his twister is the same as a wrestling guillotine the way he gets it is great. He works the legs and rubber awesome.

Eddie Bravo admitted to smoking weed and training. He has a background in BJJ but switched to freestyle JJ. Eddie has since come out speaking against marijuana. Eddie Bravo loves attention whether good or bad.

I have read several articles in which "they" say it was put out by Eddie. I know there is alot of trash talking when it comes to Eddie so I am a little skeptical of what I read. Some of the articles appear to be legit. I have some other vids of Eddie talking about all kinds of differnet stuff.

Eddie is great at JJ and I do believe that he loves the attention, good or bad.

    hello,

attention or not, is he capable instructor? opinions say yes. historically, has he been bent toward fighting or instructing? not that it matters either way, but perhaps he feels he can talk about certain things because he does not care about opinions? if he were a full time fighter, perhaps would be more likely to care/hide certain things?

rant is over. apologies for that. curious though, if any know (and it is possible to quantify), is he better fighter, or instructor?

    thanks.

    hello,

thanks to kibuninc. many are attention seekers to one degree or another (it could be argued that lorenzodamarith is no different.... look at the number of posts... hahahahahaha), but your meaning is understood.

waitaminit.. rubber? have seen reference to rubber guard. what causes a guard to be designated "rubber" (in a nutshell)? is it the same as "jello" (a term associated with carlsongraciesr)?

    just wondering.

    thanks.

    hello,

nearly forgot.... brazilian jiujiutsu and freestyle jiujitsu... what causes them to be different? not really familiar with the latter term.

    thanks.

Bjj is usually done with a Gi on and freestyle or no gi JJ is without a gi.

The rubber guard is a form of the open guard. It detailsin the way you bring your legs around the head to the front of the body. I may be somewhat wrong on my description of the rubber guard. That is how I primarily use it.

    hello,

thanks to kibuninc for the info. prior to hearing the term rubber guard, thought it was simply a setup for coil lock (omaplata).

has rubber guard always existed? or did it evolve from a setup?

    thanks.

Don't know for sure. The rubber guard is great for an omaplata but I do not know who originally developed it. I knwo Eddie Bravo is credited for it.

    hello,

thanks to kibuninc for the info. this is interesting stuff.

well then. lorenzodamarith will just march up to 10th planet and ask him. naturally barging in on him at work will be ok because lorenzodamarith is so cool right? right? or not.... hahahahahaha!!!!!!

    thanks.

Go ahead and ask him if he is gong to change the name now that Pluto is no longer a planet. There are only 8 planets. He should call it 9th planet JJ.

    hello,

apparently, eddiebravo is not an astronomer. or maybe he meant 10th planet of some other star?

so it is ambiguous location planet jiu jitsu? unknown planet jiujitsu? planetoid jiu jitsu? distant moon jiujitsu? slightly larger than disneyland jiujitsu? demoted planet jiujitsu?

since the size/status of the planet has been downgraded, is eddiebravo now a brown belt? just wondering.

    thanks.
