Tue, 2007-01-09 17:08 — lorenzodamarith
hello,
out of all the promotions out there (ufc, pride, ritc, kotc, etc), in order, which have the greatest percentage of victories by knockout?
thanks.

Same answer as previous thread.
hello,
agreed. still, it would be just interesting. wonder if any universities or doctoral students would pay for such info.
nah.
thanks.
I found an article similar to the questions you've posed in The Journal of Asian Martial Arts. It examined all the finishes of 3 Sambo Champions of which one was Rudman and showed the percentages of various techniques such as armbars, leglocks and chokes. It's at home. Steve said that the guy who wrote the article and he are collaborating on a project in the near future.
hello,
thanks to shaolinbushido. now THAT will be interesting. would really like to know, just not sure why. hmmmm. well, being an incredibly wierd individual may have something to do with it.
will look foreward to that. any idea when sambosteve will lay that on us?
thanks.
You know what ... I've also seen an article that does the same type of study regarding MMA finishes. I just have to remember where ..... :o
hello,
well, don't hesitate to post it here when you think of it. that should be cool.
thanks.

Other (Drawn, NCs, or Unknown) = 6.99
TOP 20 MOST COMMON FIGHT ENDINGS (%)
TKO 13
Submission (Armbar) 9
Submission (Rear Naked Choke) 9
Decision (Unanimous) 8
Decision 7
KO 6
Submission (Strikes) 5
Submission 4
Submission (Choke) 4
