Speaking of crossfit

    Mon, 2007-02-12 12:24 — barr45

Do any of you use it, if so, how? I want to start doing the WOD but think 5 or 6 workouts would be too much added to my 4 BJJ workouts per week. Anyone had any success using both?

I never tried before. I just train in a little weight lifting and MT and JJ. Then again I could be in better shape.

    hello,

mind you, this response counts for little, so take it for what it is, an observation only.

military types (active, especially marines and specialwarfare types) really really love it. it works extremely well for them.

fighters seem to hate it. it clearly does not work for them. any exercise is better than none, but apparently there are much better workouts than crossfit for fighters.

it may also be worth mentioning that a few of the crossfit places have shown a willingness to work with fighters/individuals in formulating workouts for specific purposes. most crossfit places have classes and schedules that differ from wod posted on crossfit.com.

    hope this helps.

    thanks.
