Zuffa paid GSP to take a dive!
Sat, 2007-04-07 22:32 — Bryan Simmons
With Bodog setting the betting lines as follows: Matt Serra (+800) vs. Georges St. Pierre (-950 Bodog), giving Serra a 10% chance at winning the fight, you gotta suspect something was a little fishy. The Fertitta's, who own Zuffa, also own half of the casinos in Las Vegas, which meant they would make them more money at their casino's sports books with GSP losing than winning. Therefor, they paid off GSP with his recently signed seven figure six-fight contract and bomb ass pussy by way of Stuff cover-model and UFC spokesmodel Rachelle Leah, who has been seen gallivanting around Vegas and Montreal with GSP. Pussy so good, GSP probably would have taken a fall to a half-retarded cripple to get his hands on. Pussy so good, Hugh Hefner would be drooling. Pussy so good, you cum before she takes her panties off. Pussy so good, you forget your first time. Pussy good enough, to end world famine. That's right, GSP took a fall to Serra for a butt load of money (seven figures) and pussy (Rachelle Leah), dank ass, tight ass, bomb ass pussy... and so would you.

Bev, you are completely right. When he fought Hughes the second time, I just knew from the look in his eyes he only had one thing on his mind. He's lost that. It's like Mick always told Rocky, "women make weak legs."
Funny you say that, I quit professional Thai Boxing shortly after getting married.
hello,
"ladies and gentlemen.... in this corner wieghing in at 205 pounds, a professional fighter without equal.... FIGHTER X"
"and in this corner.... wieghing in at a billion metric tons.... the SEX MONSTER!!!!!!"
"ding ding"
"OH! what a knockout, fighter x doesn't know what hit 'im!! a knockout 2 seconds into the first round....."
hahahahahahahahahaha!!!
thanks.
ROTFLMAO Wow, that just made my night. I figured something was up when Rachelle gave up being a ring girl, and started just doing her little half hour segment every couple of months. So, much for thinking every guy has a one punch chance, it just comes down to one girl. hahaha
hello,
mattserra being a renzogracie blackbelt for the last decade has nothing to do with it? oh well.
is there eveidence to support this? if so, it would be a very interesting concept, as it would indicate that the sport is large enough to garner interest in such manipulations (similar to some that have been alleged in other sports like football, boxing, basketball, etc).
thanks.
Matt Serra won by TKO not submission. Punching is not a jiu-jitsu technique, it's called boxing. Serra is a black-belt in jiu-jitsu not boxing.
With all of the corruption already in play, Renzo probably did have something to do with it. Serra was Renzo's first American black-belt. Whereas, GSP also trains jiu-jitsu under Renzo, but is only a brown-belt from Quebec. He probably approached GSP saying: "GSP, you mussee not fightee Matty that toughee, my freng. You see, Matty eesa faixa-preta (black-belt) in zhoo-zheetsu and you my freng are not. Itty weeel not look goood my freng."
Moral of the story: Fear Zuffa and fear the jiu-jitsu police.

hello,
hey bryansimmons!! going to say thanks now for including this skull in the conversation and for the polite tone. it is greatly appreciated!!
also, bryansimmons brings up a good point. it was a tko from the mount of all things. this doesn't seem "jiujitsu heavy" in and of itself. was not aware of anything like renzogracie fixing ufc fights, but now that you mention it, have heard of this sort of thing over the years. at least, from the gracies as a whole, not necessarily from renzogracie. also, had not considered the connection between the two fighters (both with renzogracie).
this is certainly something to think about. do you have any recommendations on how to deal with this sort of thing effectively? not real familiar with the business side of this sport.
thanks
hello,
bryansimmons, almost forgot... you captured renzogracie's accent near-perfectly!!!
hahahahahahaha!!!
thanks.
It is also possible that Renzo Gracie had something to do with this. He is from the Gracie Barra side of JJ. They are know for fixing fights and other type behaivor. Lower belts have have strict rules they have to follow like giving up to senior guys.
Serra himself had to do this against Feitosa at ADCC.
C'mon, do you guys really think the UFC is already corrupted to the same level as boxing?
Already????????? You mean since the beggining of MMA fighting. I personally know of works which have occurred.
hello,
hey kibuninc? which ones? generally, how does one tell a "work" from an asswhuppin? this would be very interesting to know.
thanks
KibunInc, I'm sure you're right about alot of MMA being fixed, I guess I just usually think of martial arts having a level of fairness that is above boxing or other sports.
Unfortunitly when there is large amount of money involved corruption is there. Several years ago when Vitor was at the top of his game he did a work over in Japan. You have to be a great fighter to even be considered to do a work.
hello,
is this common among the VERY top fighters? at what point does a fighter become.... susceptible.... to being in a work? not looking for finger pointing, just wondering.
thanks.
Once you are a well enough known name but your career is either over or not quite to the top yet then you can be used in a work to promote someone elses career.
hello,
thanks to kibuninc for the info. it is definitely an interesting concept. are there provisions for this sort of things in the fighters contracts? or is it more a matter of "hey man, this next fight, make the new kid look good for a while..."?
guess you can't blame an organization for wanting to build fighters. naively believed that you build fighters by having them fight.
oh well.
thanks.
Vitor would never do a work! Lies lies lies!!
glad to see you back on the boards bryan
DAMN, if this is true, that really sucks...i was happy as hell for serra..
