a good week

I just wated to say hello, and talk about what has been a great training week.
1st the head instructor at my school hired a new black belt and training with him has been great and has already lifted my game.
2nd I got the JJ Cook book video (from here) and i was really pretty impressed. it's all simple easy to follow and yet really helpful to me.
3rd i got a new weights program more focused on functional strength and i am more sore than i have been in months, and that is always good right?
All in all just a good grappling week for me. hope it was the same for all of you!

Cool I hope it continues for you. It is hard to keep getting sore from lifting week after week. Just don't get discouraged if yoiu have a bad week.
Congrats I am also having a good week. I am getting punished so bad this week but i like it cause i get the blue belt next week.
man i went to open mat last night and came back dragging! i rolled very well with one, maybe two guys, and then proceeded to be on the run the rest of the evening with the others. win some lose some i guess :)
I've had my blue belt for only about two months and still i felt like i had hit a plateau. I know it is not a long time, but after a year and a half of training bjj 4-6 times a week i needed to shake things up and it seems to have worked. Hence, why i am so pleased with the week.
Awesome I hae been training for about 1 yr 7-8 months and i am recieving my blue next thursday. i train BJJ 2-3 x's a week and Judo 2 x's a week
i love the fact you can split you training with judo. We just got a Judo black belt that comes in once a week, and having done that for anly a couple months it has really improved my tie up game. I still default to a single when i am tired or hard pressed, but having some options after some cloth gets grabbed really helps. it's a ton of fun too.
Yeah I am a huge fan of Judo, I rarely shoot singles and double, I try to stick to 100% Judo.
Well i have retrack the good week statement about my self, i was thrown in Judo tonight with Kata guruma (firemans carry) and landed on the tip of my shoulder and looks like i will be out of training for a couple of week unless something happens to where i heal super fast.
