hey dstock! glad it worked out for you. take a look around, there are some interesting tidbits to be found.
have fun and welcome to otm!
awesome! you should move to san diego! come train with us as UND1SPUTED. Baret Yoshida teaches the men's classes, I teach the women and kids, War Machine aka Jon Copenhaverr, Tiger Smallz, Robert Garcia, Dave Ventura, Bill the Janitor's asst. all for Boxing, Scotty Dinguez and Ed Buckley (black tiger) for Muay Thai.
bomb.. all insturctors are or have been hard core competitors, and have made world champions.
sounds good. talked to one of the guys down there about the possibility of training there on saturdays or sundays. good deal.
thanks Gazzy, moving to San Diego is something that hopefully could happen in the next few years. Can't beat the weather and the jiu jitsu and mma instruction down there. It's pretty expensive to live there though, right.
it can be expensive, but you know, if you have the hook up, or know people.. Daygans are so cool that you are bound to find a mellow and not so expensive spot. better if you go through someone that knws u at the gym..
let me know when you're ready.. i'll help look out! lotta people need roomates i'm sure..
howdy new folks. 'sup?

Hello all, i love watching UFC but i dont get a chance to train formally. Usually I'll try and get with a few friends and go over some techniques. Most of the martial arts I do is through the Marine Corps which they call MCMAP (Marine Corps Martial Arts Program). My first post =) Was going to post earlier for the Gazzy ass pic, but by the time I was ready it was well over 200. nice to meet everyone :)
"Kimchee....NO!!!!!! I love Bulgoki (SP). I lived with a Korean family for 5 years. I did not learn how to speak very much Korean but I love the food."
I too grew up with a Korean family Kimchee Garilby(sp) Bulgoki(sp) all the raw veggies etc.. I visit them in Ga. twice a year and EATTT. There is also 2 Korean resturants here in Charlotte.
We have many Korean BBQ restaurants out here in LA. I love it even though you have to cook your own food. Well I guess I can not complain about the cook this way.
why can't they just hit u up HERE?
like myspace doesn't have enough traffic flow!! pshhhh!

San Diego definately not as cold as Ireland. I can't wait until Spring arrives.
Hey guys my name is Wesley Gann. I started training about 9 years back with Travis Lutter and Carlos Machado, the last couple of those years I've been a Brown belt.
In 2005 I moved from Texas to Rio and I now train with Nova Uniao.
I still get back to Texas often to train, compete and to look in on a small pest control business i run mostly via ph and internet. Although the business pays the bills (barely), it has taken a huge back seat to training the last couple of years. So, I am basically a professional bjj bum!
I plan to move back to Texas this year full time and open an academy. I also train mma and won my first fight last Feb.
Nice to meet you all and I hope to make some new friends! (CA hotel rooms are a killer...lol!!)
holy moly! you've been out there almost 3 years! hope you've picked up some portuguese.
you know, to be great you have to make big sacrafices. you live the life of a true soldier to your own heart. good for you. I love stories like this!!
Are you in Flamenco? I stayed there for two and a half months trained with De and the team. I lived with De's grandma. lol. What a sweetheart she is.
Yah I been there a while now... my portuguese is ok. It could sure be a lot better but I get around alright I guess.
No, I dont live in Flamengo (Zona Sul is expensive!). I live on the west side of Rio in Jacarepagua. I do drive in though to train there every so often. I had a fight in Feb so I was training mma there everyday in the beginning of the year with Shaolin and the guys.
I spend most of my time training jj at a couple schools on the west side of Rio with Bruno, Ricardo & Andre Bastos also Eduardo Pessoa, & endless 'no name' studs!.. plus lots of top guys are in and out.
Thats cool you lived with Dede's grandma... He seems like a great guy although I dont know him all that well because he's always so busy running in and out. Great mma program though!!! Tough as hell workouts going down there in the late afternoons.
My name is Josh Vogel and I am a Purple belt under the Migliarese brothers at Balance studios in Philadelphia. Cool forum!
lol.. the "Hi" and "thanks" sound familiar..
welcome! Miglarese bros are awesome!
My name is Nick Albin. Everyone calls me by my nick name Chewy. I am a purple belt. Wrestled for years as well.
I live in Louisville, KY (no worries I wear shoes. . . and I have my teeth. . . most of them anyway ;P )
I'll bet you u can get down on some Wild Turkey!
Thanks we'd love to have you. My wife Kelly is also a purple under CG/GG. She's always in need of experience girls to roll with. Maybe we can make an excuse for you to head this way. A Seminar or something? We're working hard to develop women's bjj here and in Reno. She's trained with Felicia some and loved it. Anyway, you're welcome anytime.
super cool of you! thanks Marc!
