Name is David. I'm a 2 stripe blue belt under Rob Kahn and Travis Neagle. My bjj home is Gracie South and I am also a black belt in judo. Currently in MS, but have grown up some of everywhere across the country.
I'm a blue belt under Javier "Showtime" Vazquez. I trained no-gi over at the old Millennia in Pomona... then went over with Javi to La Habra when he opened Showtime Jiu-Jitsu and trained with the gi. Now I'm back over at the new Millennia MMA in Rancho Cucamonga, CA that is about ready to open up soon. Javi's is back with his partners in crime and fellow BJJ Black Belts Romie Aram and Betiss Mansouri.

So how is Romie doing. He used to come own to Todd Medinas and roll with us. He is a good person.
Romie is doing ok. He's pretty stressed right now, and working his ass off with all the stuff going on at the new Academy. Plus the place is blowing up, so fighters are getting ready for fights on an almost weekly basis.
I am E. I train in Jiu Jitsu for no good reason. Eternal white belt.

True, but that is why its better to stay in the subforums. You generally get alot more good info, good peeps to talk to, and don't have to deal with the general bs like in alot of big forums.
Yeah... MMA.tv and jiujitsugear.com/forum/ are the only two forums that I really go into... other than OTM's now.
Although I do need to make a forum for the MILLENNIA MMA website that I'm making.
People are right when they say Sherdog has way too many childish posters on there. The wasteland is horrible and the stand up and grppling forums can be ok but for every post there will always be about 20 idiots who have nothing usefull to say. OTM rules and we have some of the best grapplers talking here and giving good information. :D

I live in North Carolina. I found the forums through Gazzy on Myspace. I had been training in kickboxing for the last two years, but I have just recently switched schools and I'm focusing mainly on BJJ now.

My roots are pretty deep here right now, but the beach does sound very nice. A friend of mine just opened a new gym in Santa Ana and Im ready to head West to visit!

I know Gazzy real well and missed the good 'ol days at training with you at Joe M's in New Port....seen Gumby's name like since the dawn of reptiles...been in BJJ forever and still not a black belt, but in my own mind I am and love teaching and training with others.
I am a new Head Wrestling Coach at a local H.S. in South Orange County and in the process of starting the FIRST EVER H.S. Submission Grappling Team!! Yea, I know I'm nuts, but I love coaching and teaching others this beautiful art...

Hell yea, If H.S. had a bjj/grappling program I think a lot of kids would have a great time and have something to do besides getting drunk, stoned or in fights and things!!
It will be interesting to see what I can do once I get on this campus full time!!
The dojo I attend has MMA training on saturdays & sundays. Also, usually after our Jiu-Jitsu & judo classes on tuesdays & thursdays we usually roll around for a while. I have attended some of the MMA classes also- good time! Unfortunately I got caught in an armbar tuesday & something cracked/popped right below my elbow so I have to take a little time off the mat to recoup. I don't think a bone is broken and there is no bruising I just can't tension up my forearm or straighten out my arm & lock the elbow.

The class sizes fluctuate; but I will say there's 8 of us that do Judo/ Jiu-Jitsu, and another 8-10 MMA guys. My daughters attend TKD classes there, and those have 20-30 students.
