what is a game?
Fri, 2008-01-18 22:30 — lorenzodamarith
hello,
this may sound a bit strange. have heard many talk about "this game" or "that game" or "they have a really good game".
so, what is a "game"... really? what constitutes "game" and how does anyone know when one has achieved "game"?
up to this point, "game" has been taken to mean something like: unique style, similar to a signature. granted, everyone has a unique style (body differences and so forth), but "game" was thought to be something really unique.
marcelogarcia was long believed to be the best on earth. arguably so. what made him different was his "game". everyone else trained as hard, went to tournaments, had just as much experience... yet he stomped them. it was the "game".
however, this skull has not figured out what "game" is. many use it interchangebly from "they way they do it" to "intangible something that can't be duplicated".
is a "game" actually all these things? has the point of "game: been completely missed?
looking foreward to hearing what you folks have to say.
thanks
