    INSIDE COVER:
    Bagua Combat Applications:
    Saturday May 17th, 12:30-3:30 pm

Tim will guide us through a multitude of applications from the Four Methods of Combat (kicks / strikes / throws / joint manipulation), found within the art of Bagua Zhang. Tim has studied Gao Bagua with Luo DeXiu, as well as Sun Bagua with Sun JianYun, during his studies in China and Taiwan for over 10 years.
This seminar is open to any and all styles and levels regardless if you have studied Bagua before. Come with an open mind and explore the rich culture of Chinese Martial Arts taught by one of the most sought after instructors today!
    Expect to learn:
    • Various applications applicable to all sub systems of Bagua Zhang.
    • Real world applications for today’s society
    • Gain a better understanding of how the body moves and its usage in combat

    Taiji Combat Applications
    Saturday May 17th, 5-8pm
Tim will teach various applications from the Four Methods of Attack (kicks / strikes / throws / joint manipulations) found within Taiji. Taiji has always been a combative based art, with a strong emphasis on grappling and throwing. 80% of Taiji is grappling based, hence where the focus will be.
A comprehensive overview of locks, strikes, throws, and footwork will be covered. This seminar will enhance your sparring practice, push hands practice, as well as your self defense potential. Join us for an afternoon of improving ones fighting skills, regardless of style or knowledge of Taiji.

    Thai Clinch / Neck Clinch
    Sunday May 18th, 11am – 1:30pm
Clinch fighting is arguably the single most important factor in sport and street fighting because it bridges the gap between striking distance and grappling distance, and is considered by many the key aspect to dominating your opponent. Every combat sport has their version of the clinch; Muay Thai, Greco Roman Wrestling, Folk Wrestling, even boxing! This proves that clinch work is one of the most critical aspects of any fighter’s repertoire.
Tim will continue on from the previous workshop and give us an in-depth lesson on the neck tie, or neck clinch, one of the most dominant (and dangerous) positions in combat!
    • Positional superiority, and how to use it to your advantage
    • Using angles and positions to exploit weakness’ in your opponents game
    • Utilizing knees and elbows in the clinch
    • Attaining superior position and maintaining it
    • Clinch strategy
    • How to escape the clinch and counters

    Grappling Solo Practice
    Sunday May 18th, 2pm-4pm
Ground grappling arts such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Sambo, Submission Grappling, etc. are some of the only arts in which participants spar 100% every single night of practice, yet it has no solo forms (kata). The art unto itself is complete, but practitioners often get frustrated because they have no way of training when there is no class, or partner to work with.
In this seminar Tim will introduce a number of exercises, flow drills, and movements that will enhance your ground grappling abilities! These exercises can be practiced in a small space, with no extra money needed for tools, or equipment, and best of all they will translate straight into your ground fighting game!
    • Increase strength
    • Build flexibility
    • Ingrain solo movements into muscle memory for enhancing grappling abilities
    • Utilize your limited training time to its maximum potential
