Everytime I watch Cobrinha I am more impressed!
1. Xande
2. Roger
3. Galvao
4. Lovato
5. Braga Neto
6. Tarsis
7. Braulio
8. Cobrinha
9. Moraes
10. Cooper
I agree that it is hard to ony pick 10
i noticed that Jeff Monson, Drysdale, Jacare and Garcia are not on that list. is it becuase they did not fight at the worlds?
when have you ever seen Monson compete with a gi?
Drysdale, Jacare, and Garcia were all mentioned more than once.
He has he lost to Rolls Gracie by one advantage in the gi at grapplers quest. :D
My Pound for Pound
1. Roger
2. Xande
3. Andre Galvao
4. Cobrihna
5. Braga Neto
6. Jacare
7. Lovato Jr.
8. Tarsis
9. Sergio Moraes
10. Cooper
Ahhh.......ME ;) OK OK then how about Gumby, Scotty, Ryan, and Bevois and all of the other guys here on this site. We are the best JJ family out there.
Right now it's hard to put Roger higher than Xande in a "pound for pound" list, given that Xande (a smaller man) just beat Roger.
My 'absolute' best list (based largely on performances at the recent Mundials):
1/ Xande
2/ Roger
3/ Neto
4/ Galvao
5/ Lovato
6/ Moraes
However, this leaves out some top competitors (e.g., Drysdale, Garcia, Jacare) who didn't compete at these Mundials (or this year's Pan Am's). I'll let other more knowledgable people improve upon this list...
Of course, there's one more name that has to be considered when compiling an 'absolute best' list: Rickson. It's a pity he no longer competes...
